Inventory and ordering for kirana shops and thela carts

Delete your LAKSA account

You can delete your LAKSA account and its data at any time, either from inside the app or by writing to us if you no longer have the app installed.

From inside the app

  1. Open LAKSA and tap the menu icon to open Settings.
  2. Under Account actions, tap Delete account.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm.

The account and its data are removed straight away. This cannot be undone.

If you no longer have the app

Email privacy@laksa.app, write “Delete my LAKSA account”, and tell us the email address or mobile number the account uses.

If your account uses an email address, write from that address where you can. If it uses a mobile number, give us the registered number — you do not need an email account of your own to ask us, only somewhere we can reply.

We will check the request really comes from the account holder before we act on it, because deletion cannot be undone. That usually means sending a verification code to the registered number or email address. Knowing someone's phone number is not on its own enough for us to delete their shop.

Once verified we delete the account and its associated personal and trading data. We respond within 30 days, and there is no charge.

What gets deleted

Everything held against your account:

The email address or mobile number becomes free to use for a new account again.

What we keep, and for how long

Backups are overwritten on their ordinary cycle rather than edited, so a copy may persist in them briefly after deletion. Crash reports are the other exception: they identify an installation of the app rather than a person, so deleting an account cannot reach them, and Google removes them on its own schedule. Beyond those, and anything we are legally required to keep, the deleted account's personal and trading data is not retained — the Privacy Policy sets out each case.

If you only want to stop for a while

Deleting is permanent. If you are pausing rather than leaving, use Settings → Deactivate account instead: your sales, orders, inventory and history stay exactly as they are, and signing in again brings the account back.

For anything else about how we handle your information, see the Privacy Policy.
